General SOAR 2 Success FAQs
What is SOAR 2 Success?
SOAR 2 Success is CSUSB's Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration program for incoming freshmen. SOAR 2 Success is a two-phase process that will help you achieve a comfort level as you transition to college. The first phase, Advising and Registration, will provide an academic introduction to CSUSB through interactions with faculty members and academic counselors. The second phase is a two-day overnight Orientation Program that is designed to acclimate you to the day-today life of a college student.

Do I need to bring my parents?
No, but if your parents want to attend Advising & Registration, we will have workshops and presentations specifically designed for them.
Although the Orientation programs are only for students, we offer parent orientation on three Saturday afternoons to help accommodate busy weekday schedules. This is a good time for parents to get their questions answered and learn about resources at CSUSB to help them help their students.

When and how do I make my schedule?
For the Early Bird registration, you will receive an email with information about who your advisor is and what department to contact. You will also receive a registration form through the email. Bring the form with you when you meet with your advisor and he/she will help you with completing your schedule. Then, you will turn in the completed schedule form to UH-171 and you will be registered. After May 17, you can access your MyCoyote to confirm the courses you were registered for or make adjustments.
For May 17 and June 7, you will be advised and registered on these days.
