Mark oversees all aspects of the office, including making sure no one gets too serious about their job. Mark's motto is "As long as everyone is having fun, then we are doing our jobs!" Bringing a positive energy to SLD, Mark has many fresh, new ideas that will continue to make CSUSB a fun place to learn and grow.
Mark came to CSUSB in February 2007 from the University of Redlands where he was the Director of Greek Life and Assistant Director of Student Leadership & Involvement. He has two masters' degrees, one in business management and the other in higher education. Mark has written a series of books for student leaders, entitled, If I Knew Then What I Know Now., which can be found in the Coyote Bookstore. Mark's passion is helping students develop their life's mission and put together a game plan to make it a reality. He travels the country speaking to college student about the importance of making every day count.
Mark and his wife of five-years, Heather, stay busy chasing after their 2 year-old son Keegan. And Keegan stays busy by plotting tricks for his soon-to-be brother or sister (Due Date: Nov. 4, 2008). Bets are being taken in SLD on the gender of the baby. |

Program Supervisor
Natalie Cleary

Natalie oversees Greek Life at CSUSB. She has a strong reputation nationally among Greek advisors as "someone who is fair, but firm to all student groups." She does an excellent job of balancing the students' needs with the policies of the university. The Greek community is lucky to have such a committed individual in their corner. Club leaders should anticipate visiting Natalie if your group is planning a large scale special event.
Natalie, the heart and soul of the SLD office, has worked here since spring 2002. An alumna of CSUSB, she received her bachelor's degree in history in 2000. She is always willing to share her knowledge with other staff members. Natalie has great ideas and challenges students and administrators to look at situations from different angles.
When she is not in the office, she can be found on her boat in Lake Havasu, AZ with her husband David and her bouncing baby boy Nathan.

Rosemary oversees the Leadership Academy and the Student Union Program Board (SUPB). Students will tell you that, Rosemary is a temendous asset to the SLD staff. She is committed to the success of her students and her programs. She earned her bachelor's degree from CSUSB in Spanish and is currently working on her master's degree in Public Administration with a projected graduation date of spring 2009.
Rosemary began work in SLD in the fall of 2006 and the office has been full of laughter ever since. Rosemary brings life to the SLD office. Her infectious smile and fun personality make life around the office extremely entertaining. She enjoys traveling with her four children, also known as her "Peanut Gang." Program Coordinator
Doreen Hatcher

Doreen Hatcher comes to CSUSB from the brutal cold of New York where she worked at Colgate University. Doreen's role in the office will be to manage the new SOAR 2 Success orientation program, which kicks off this summer with five over-night sessions.
Doreen's enthusiasm and positive attitude will surely help increase the school spirit on campus. She has dug up the school's fight song and is on a mission to make sure every student knows it. She is also a stickler for school pride. If she sees you wearing another school's sweatshirt shirt, she's gonna call you out in public! You better get over to the Coyote Bookstore and get your CSUSB sweatshirt now before she catches you!
Doreen is the mother of two: Jasmine is a student at Redlands High School and is a member of the track and field team. Her youngest, Ellis is 20-months old and already shows the signs of being CSUSB's next great point guard, which makes sense because she is married to CSUSB's Athletic Director Kevin Hatcher. So when you see her at an obscenely high number of basketball, volleyball, and baseball games, you'll know why.

Albert is a second-year graduate student pursuing his masters in College Counseling at the University of La Verne. He graduated from CSUSB in 2005 and currently oversees the Inter-Fraternity Council, as well as our Greek Honors Societies. He assists others in the office with Leadership Academy, Clubs and Organizations, and Coyote Orientation.
Most evenings, Albert can be found slugging it out on the softball field, where he plays second base. His team dominates opponents with monster homeruns and skillful fielding. Albert also enjoys hanging out at Angels Stadium to see how the big leaguers do it.

Johnny "Big Man on Campus" Peters resides at the front desk of the SLD office. Johnny is the first face you see and, in most cases, the first voice you hear when you contact us. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, which currently has the highest Greek GPA on campus.
Johnny knows the scoop on all clubs and organizations; not because he is a Gossip King, but rather because he handles all of the club charter packets and files away key paperwork for each organization. Johnny is known around the office for his enthusiasm and his knowledge of student resources.
